For project 3, Sense of Place, I chose to visit a park that I grew up visiting. While walking around, I noticed how run down the playground had gotten. Although it was a really nice Friday afternoon, the park was completely empty. People have graffitied across the playground, drawing and carving into the metal and plastic. Overall it felt lonely and almost abandoned. There was even remaining yellow caution tape that had once been tied around the playground railings. I wanted to capture this feeling of abandonment mixed with nostalgia.
